More Cedar Waxwings

Last series of the Cedar Waxwings we encountered this past Sunday. I have really enjoyed reviewing these and look forward to finding a flock like this once again soon.

So many Waxwings

We headed out on a nice photo adventure with my friends Parks and Michelle to a location I had not visited in years. Wow, birds everywhere!! I took so many photos that it will take a bit of time to get through them all that is for sure.

The surprise of the day though is when we came upon a flock of Cedar Wax-wings. I have only photographed them one other time and that was with Parks also so he is definitely who I need to be with to see them. There had to be thousands and that is no exaggeration. They were everywhere. This is my first quick look at the photos I made. I have many more to review.

Dutch Gap ~ January 2024

First series in many, many months.

Today's goal was simply to see if I remembered any of my settings or if I could even get the camera in focus.

Hermit Thrush Have Returned

I was super surprised to see a Hermit Thrush on our feeders Christmas Day.  I have not seen one here at the house in several years.  Here is hoping there is more than one and we have winter residents.

Red-shouldered Hawk

Thought I would have time Saturday to get out to Dutch Gap so I had my camera with me. Christmas shopping derailed those plans but having the camera with me was a win. This guy was just sitting on the roof of a barn near our house so I had to stop and photograph it.

Not bad for not holding my cameras in months if I do say so myself. ID needed, looks like Cooper but possibly a Red-shoulder? Not 100% sure
