Creamy Sausage Pasta (Copy)

A new favorite, we couldn’t stop eating this and have already been asked to make again :)

Adapted from then”Let’s Get Cooking” site by Julia Pacheco - https://www.juliapacheco.com/sausage-one-pot-tortellini/

1/2 lb pasta shells (I used Mostaccioli)

1 diced onion

2 fresh garlic cloves, minced

1 lb sweet italian sausage (casings removed)

1.5 cup heavy whipping cream (I made homemade since we were out)**

2 cans mini diced tomatoes (italian styled or add italian seasonings)

1/2 cup Mozzarella Cheese

Directions:

Cook the pasta from box instructions, drain and set aside.

In a large saucepan over medium heat, cook onions and garlic until soft and set aside. Next brown and break apart the sausage. Remove excess grease. Lower the heat and add in the onions/garlic mixture, tomatoes, seasonings, and whipping cream. Simmer for 3 -6 minutes as sauce thickens, add in the cooked pasta and Mozzarella cheese, stir until coated.

Serve with additional parmesan cheese with a salad and garlic bread on the side.

** Homemade Whipping Cream Substitute

I used this recipe from “My Heavenly Recipes” and it was perfect for this dish
