It was finally a sunny, reasonably warm and most importantly a Saturday WITHOUT rain so Guy and I decided to go on a road trip. We have a long list of places to visit, all within a few hours of the house and have committed to do more of these outings for the fun of exploring but mostly to spend time together, alone and without electronics and other distractions that would be taking away precious moments.

I have been wanting to hike this park for some time now and so we grabbed the keys and headed that way. I wish I had done more research before we went as mos of the trails were closed due to all the flooding from 12 months of rain which caused lots of damage. We were only able to walk one trail which was rather uninspiring. We had to drive more than walk/hike but we saw enough that we know we want to go back in the fall or winter and explore more.
